ππΊ WHAT IF THE SIMPSONS PREDICTED... ME? πΊπ
Okay, hear me out.
This is a joke.
Probably.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
Unless it isn't.
For over 35 years, The Simpsons has somehow managed to predict things that later became reality.
Smart watches.
Video calls.
Autocorrect.
AI.
Political events.
Technology.
Things nobody should have reasonably guessed decades earlier.
At this point I'm convinced the writers don't write episodes.
They write tomorrow.
Which got me thinking...
What if Springfield hasn't finished predicting the future yet?
What if somewhere deep inside the archives of Springfield there is an episode that hasn't aired yet...
And it introduces a new resident.
A blogger.
A professional over-thinker.
A guy who connects dots so aggressively that even Lisa Simpson starts telling him to calm down.
Enter:
π» Kyle "Xy" Taus π»
Springfield's newest unofficial official unofficial blogger.
A man whose entire career consists of asking questions nobody asked.
Questions like:
• Why doesn't anybody in Springfield age?
• Why is Mr Burns still alive?
• How many donuts can Homer actually eat before physics gives up?
• Why does Maggie always seem to know more than everyone else?
• And why does The Simpsons keep accidentally predicting the future?
Homer likes me because I once told him his donut-powered renewable energy proposal deserved government funding.
Marge worries about me because every second blog post starts with the words:
"Now this might sound crazy..."
Lisa constantly fact-checks my articles.
Bart keeps changing my blog password.
Maggie has never said a word to me, yet somehow wins every argument.
Santa's Little Helper follows me around because I dropped a sausage roll outside the Kwik-E-Mart once and now we're basically best friends.
But here's where the conspiracy begins...
The Simpsons first aired in 1989.
I was born in 1989.
Coincidence?
Almost certainly.
Maybe.
Probably.
Possibly.
Definitely.
Unless...
π
Imagine if the writers one day decided to create a Springfield blogger whose entire purpose was investigating why Springfield predicts the future.
A character trying to solve the same mystery the audience has been asking for decades.
And then imagine the plot twist:
The blogger becomes so obsessed with predicting the future that he accidentally starts creating it.
Not because he's a genius.
Not because he's a time traveller.
But because he keeps posting ridiculous ideas online and somebody eventually says:
"Actually that's not a bad idea."
Suddenly every crazy blog post becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The future isn't predicted.
It's crowd-sourced.

Now before anyone takes this seriously:
No, I'm not claiming to be in The Simpsons.
No, The Simpsons didn't predict me.
No, Matt Groening hasn't secretly called me.
No, Homer Simpson is not my uncle.
And no, Springfield is unfortunately not located in Thornbury.
This is simply me being creative, having fun, and celebrating one of the greatest television shows ever created.
A show that debuted in 1989.
The same year I did.
Coincidence?
There I go again.
